Cloth Dock for Reusables
"Practical Cloth-drying Dock. This has become a very useful part of my kitchen. I was always looking for places to dry my sustainable cloths. I draped them over chopping boards and washed up saucepans. But now there is somewhere out of the way that is just for the cloths. Fab!" Janet, Auckland
Having made the switch to re-usable paper towels, it quickly made sense to make a Dock to hang them on and maximise the likelihood I'd actually reuse them. Like our other Docks, they're made from aluminium and are powdercoated to be hardwearing and longlasting. So far we've only made them in white.
The Cloth Dock is 31cm long, 11cm wide, and 9.5cm tall. It weighs around 230grams. It has 3 long slots for hanging your kitchen cloths - be they reusable paper towels, dish cloths or teatowels, or bathroom facecloths, cleansing cloths or head bands.
There are 3 ways to attach the Cloth Dock - under mount, back mount or standing. There are holes for 2 suction cups for all mounting options.
This accessory comes by default with two pvc suction cup for mounting to surfaces that are smooth and non-porous (acrylic, glass, mirror, vitreous china, many smooth tiles but not all). Wet the back before adhering. If you'd rather have a natural rubber suction cup than a pvc one you can make the switch here. Suction cups won't stick to rough or porous surfaces, like textured tiles or paint because they can't form the vacuum needed to work. If you are at all unsure if suction cups will work at your place, we suggest you add in some nanotapes too.
